This is the Workbook. We use this edition as a teaching tool in our art classes and seminars. The workbook can be used as a notebook, log, an art journal and some hand coloring. Same book, same content, as the regular book, but is printed on standard matte book paper. The regular edition book is printed on premium glossy paper. First and foremost this book seeks to exhibit, demonstrate and promote positive Black imagery. There is anti-Black bias in our society which portrays African-Americans with derogatory and negative stereotypes. African-Americans must counter this effort with pro-Black imagery and art is one vehicle to accomplish that goal. Alain Locke, born in Philadelphia, said "Art must discover and reveal the beauty which prejudice and caricature have overlaid."
Includes 35 Frameable Prints & Posters
