While a piano rendering of 's energetic emo-pop certainly sounds fun, this tribute album suffers from a lack of imagination as much as a disregard for the source material. Hit singles like and are given a heavy-handed interpretation -- literally -- as the "pianist" (if there's even a real pianist involved, since this sounds like one extended MIDI file) bangs them out in a militant, overly precise manner.
