Johnny Parker is still embedded with the French Resistance, having had a close shave just weeks before. But with a trusted associate now missing, presumed dead, it seems as though even the very best of friends can turn their backs. Doubts and deception seem to lurk in every corner, particularly after one of the members of the Fortunae circuit comes close to losing their life; and not for the first time. With the net rapidly closing in on them, Johnny Parker, and his compatriot Michael Hope, must establish how and why things are going so desperately wrong for them. Re-join Parker and Hope as they continue to fight forces from outside, as well as within, in an attempt to secure Circuit Fortunae; a task that is a lot more arduous, and perilous, than they first thought.
