Tony Stone is rushing home after receiving good news. Both disappear without a trace. With others they are delivered to Elos, where the Berloff leader, Locom, uses them as slaves and breeding stock. Two Elosians attempting to rid their world of the Berloff tyranny meet the humans and together manage to free the captives and begin their journey to return them to Earth. Burdened by dangers and surprises, Keenu chooses to save Jamie, not fully realizing the unknown threat his Pledge of Honor will bring down on them all.
