I have been writing poetry for many years. In August of 2011, I had a life changing event happen and consequently spent two weeks in the hospital under lockdown and supervision for suicidal tendencies. Upon release, I moved in with friends and started a new life. On November 11, I was at work and had a first line for a poem and could not find anything on which to write it down. I decided to make a note to myself on my cell phone. When I came home, I was taking the line off my phone to continue writing and had the idea for PoextS. I would write short poems as somewhat therapy and send them via text to friends and family. I sent my first one on November 12 of 2011. Now, one year later to the date, I have written 1,000 PoextS. I hope you may enjoy and be enlightened by them. Thank you to those of you who have read many many many of my thoughts...this book is dedicated to you! You know who you are, and I love you!
