The JOHN W. SCHAUM PRE-A SOLO BOOK is excellent for children who require more basic reading on the level of the Schaum Pre-A Book before continuing to the Schaum Red A Book. (We presuppose that the Schaum Pre-A or some other similar introductory material has been presented.) Teachers who believe in slow and sure progress will keep this book in mind for all young pupils. Children develop into good sightreaders in direct proportion to the amount of reading they do on one learning level.
