The Progressive Armonía Studies Level 1 book uses a simple, tried and true progressive approach to start the student in learning how to play standard chords and notes on the guitar, vihuela, and guitarron. The book focuses on the standard keys of G, D, and A Major. The exercises go from simple to complex with the student ultimately studying the mariachi styles of ranchers lenta, ranchers valseada, bolero, cumbia, polka, son jalisciense, and the huapango. There is little else needed to start learning how to play the mariachi guitar, vihuela and guitarron.
