Bulletin No. 65-59 is the fifth volume in a series on surface water quality conditions in California. Data presented were collected by the Department of Water Resources under its surface water quality monitoring program and by other public agencies in California. In addi tion to basic data, this bulletin contains evaluations and interpreta tions of significant quality variations detected during 1959 and, where possible, an explanation of the causes of these variations.
