Colin (Sam Neill) and Les (Michael Caton) are two warring brothers who reside in a rural town in Western Australia. Though they work side-by-side tending to the flocks of sheep descended from their own family's prized bloodline, the two men are worlds apart. One day, one of Les' rams is diagnosed with a rare and extremely lethal disease, prompting the authorities to order a purging of all the sheep in their area.
