Detective Nick Christmas and his partner
Randi are staking out the art gallery curator's young protégé who may know more
about the apparent theft of a famous painting of a nude goddess. Could his
unidentified model be involved? Someone at the manor of the wealthy patron
who purchased it? Or maybe one of the Marilyn Monroe lookalike finalists
from the curator's beauty contest promoting a mysterious exhibit to be unveiled
at her Fourth of July gala?
From the heights of Oregon's Portland Vista Bridge landmark to the nearby tony
Pearl District's art scene, they will use whatever resources available, including
Randi's close relative and Nick's former Nohomish County detective partner, to
track down what happened to the painting.
