Love was the last thing on Lily Kepler's mind when she entered Vassar College in the fall of 1903. The thrill of living among other brainy women was soon disrupted by her reaction to the beautiful junior, Helen McIntyre, who became Lily's Greek tutor. Before she had words to describe her emotions, Lily was in love. Disaster strikes when Lily's parents decide that she will not return to Vassar the next year.
