What if the government created something that shocked the entire country? The outrage was so great that the people revolted and everything crumbled around us? I do not know my name, where I came from, or much else about myself. All I know for sure is that I'm more than human. I'm not some mythological creature from a fairy tale or some other kind of story. I just know that I'm different. I know this because I have been wandering the country for more than two hundred years. I'm strong, fast, and I can adapt to survive any situation. So what am I? Out of everything that can help me answer my questions, I meet a man who is unlike anyone I have ever met. Through him, I start to remember. What if I hold the clues as to why the government really fell? What if he is my connection to my past? What if, through this man, I can finally know who I am? *Note from the author- PLEASE READ* I started writing this series because I wanted to write books where characters were like vampires, but weren't vampires. I wanted the enhanced abilities without the blood. That was the initial idea. The story developed as I wrote it, setting it to take place in the future after the government collapsed. If you have read a lot of books like this, then keep an open mind with this, because yes, some ideas I got from watching movies or reading books, but I tried to put my own spin on things. As far as the ending, yes, it is a very abrupt cliffhanger, but I would like to point out I'm not the first person to do this. I don't know anyone who likes those kinds of books. I know I don't. However, it was necessary to finish the book this way in order to set it up for the next one. I realize it is rushed, but it's how I wrote it. Believe me, it still bothers me, but there is nothing I can do to change it. You may be thinking, "Well, if you're the author, why can't you?" Everyone has a unique writing style. That ending came to a crashing halt in my mind, and that's how it ended up on paper. So if you want an explanation, that's all I've got. I hate that the ending of one of my books turns people away from the others. I explain everything through the other books in the series, so I hope you can get past the ending of Revelation and enjoy Retribution, Revolution, and Unrivaled. -Justine E Domke
