Things couldn't be much worse for Joe Lucas. He and his younger brother Tony were on remand for the attempted murder of Dave Thorpe. He'd heard that Thorpe was in hiding, waiting to testify against him at trial. His ex-girlfriend Rhiannon had been a witness to what he'd done, and she was the one who had reported him. Now she too had gone on the missing list. To top it all, his dad Gordon had told him, that if he had not involved Tony in his murderous schemes, he would have been left to rot in prison. It irked Joe that his dad was only pulling out all the stops to locate the witnesses, because he didn't want to see Tony inside. He hated his entire family, and couldn't wait to be free, to show them what he was really made of.
