Connie Caldwell was the captain of the Blanchette Hunters Varsity Cheerleaders. Her number two on the squad was a sophomore and first-year varsity cheerleader, Molly Warner. Both Connie and Molly were close friends going back to middle school. Both were dedicated scholar athletes. Some bad incidents that took place during the football season at Blanchette High School didn't set too well with the squad and someone decided to dash Connie's hopes of having a stellar senior year before college. Molly becomes suspicious right from the very beginning when Connie wound up in the hospital. She suspected other varsity squad teammates and even students who were close to Connie, including members of the Blanchette Hunters football team. Molly also has to confront a very polar high school, which featured rurals, those who lived on farms in the county and townies, ones who lived in the poor neighborhoods and subdivisions surrounding Blanchette High School. Both groups created a school reputation as the most violent high school in St. Charles County, Missouri with the number of fights they had. Molly has her own problems, dealing with a mother who serves as the area's state representative in Missouri's House of Representatives and does not appreciate Molly's role as a cheerleader and sometimes becomes verbally abusive to her daughter at times. Can Molly find the person who hurt Connie before they harm others?
