The setting is England in the early 1700s. A baby is born, the bastard son of an English nobleman. The father, Lord Rockfort and his friend Lord Howard, plot to remove the child to save his life and secretly arrange for the boy to be raised by Lord Howard at Castle Norfolk. A few years later, a beautiful baby girl, Elizabeth, is born to Lord and Lady Howard. Neither suspect that some day Lizzie and Henry will develop a deep and lasting love, one that will threaten the future of two noble families and war between England and France. After defending the honor of the woman he loves, Henry Jennings must escape the gallows and take the only refuge left to him, a pirate on the high seas, never to see his true love again. Fate has other plans. Their paths cross again and Captain Henry Jennings must choose between the life of the woman he loves and honor or certain death at the gallows of Execution Dock. Secrets of the Sea is a story of love, honor, and death on the high seas and a series of secrets that will ultimately bind two young lovers or destroy them forever!
