It's easy to talk about my struggles with depression and other battles amongst close friends and family, but to put them publicly in a book for people to read is a different feeling. Am I being too vague about some of my issues? Putting too much out there to get judged? Regardless, in my book "Seeing Blue Through Brown Eyes" I will dig into some of my darkest days on how I struggled with depression, OCD and Body Dysmorphia as well as my personal health battles and a marriage that almost fell apart. After feeling so hopeless, I didn't know if I wanted to continue on with life despite having such a strong support system. Strange how your mind can become your own worst enemy. Do I struggle with all of this today? Absolutely, but each and every time this occurs I feel like I am becoming stronger and much better at controlling it. Depression does not define me as a person, how I cope with it does!
