The Mentors
make absolutely no effort to soften their impact with this misogynistic, childish album. The first half is passed off as "live" but comes across as poorly recorded studio tracks with badly looped crowd noise in between songs. The second half sounds much better, although that is still drastically below the standards of most metal bands. What makes the album listenable is the hilarious, junior-high potty humor spewed by vocalist/drummer
El Duce
("I'm a peeping/I'm a peeping tom/ I've been peeping/I've been peeping on your mom!"). The music mostly sounds like second-rate
Kiss
, which at times works in their favor. But in the end, this is offensive, obnoxious music that will appeal to fans of the bizarre, but is not meant for general consumption. ~ Bradley Torreano
