ith a safe place to live, the survivors of the zombie apocalypse should have it easier, but supplies have to be amassed, people have to be rescued, and forgotten skills have to be relearned before winter comes. On one side, a group tries to rebuild and make a better world as they gather around Zane, a bright child who is full of positive energy and promises of hope. In the opposing camp, a dark child with a withered face and one eye leads an army of violent men who have refined torture, cannibalism, and slavery to an art.
