Life's journeys are valuable lessons. The struggles of my life's journey made me who I am today. Character is a part of wisdom, and until we peel away the many layers of ourselves and learn to accept who we are, we will never begin to heal.In the past, I always asked myself, "What is the definition of religion?" "What is it really about?" I believe in my heart that mankind made a mistake when we put a title on how we worship the one true God. God, Allah, Jehovah, or whatever you refer to your creator as, gave mankind revelation in his holy books through time. As you have read, I have been on both sides of religion and I am not the type of person to put other people's belief system down...to each their own. Who are we to judge? Who are we to say whose belief system is right and whose is wrong? I have experienced both Islam and Christianity. My thoughts at first were that I didn't really understand Islam for myself because of my experiences growing up. I didn't understand the beauty of the religion or way of life as I know now. I'm sure that people of other faiths feel the same way. As I went through life's lessons, I became more open-minded and it comes down to one's own personal relationship with God.This book was written to reach someone's mother, niece, daughter, wife, sister, and lost souls that have been used, abused, neglected, and looking for love and acceptance in all the wrong places. If I can get through my struggles and am still learning and growing, you can too. I've learned to never say never, or what you wouldn't do, never judge a book by its cover, and always stay humble. I am spiritually awakened -Imani Aester
