"Sixty Years of 141 Speedway - 1960 to 2020" is a massive book containing 212 total pages of historical content, including 182 pages of photographs, from each season of racing at the former quarter-mile asphalt oval turned third-mile dirt track, located in Francis Creek, Wis. The book was written by racing historian Dennis Darovich and former racer Bob Diener. Darovich has been an avid fan of 141 Speedway since 1973. Other avid fans of the track contributed to this unique auto racing book. Racing historian Bill Mueller wrote the foreword to "60 Years of 141 Speedway," while Diener, a past driver in the track's Sportsman division, provided many of the photographs in the book. The rich history of the 141 Speedway facility is detailed through numerous articles, driver point standings and advertisements from Midwest Racing News. Photographs from 141 Speedway photographers are also featured throughout the book, including Mike Schneider, Dick Jepson, Weber Brothers, Al Fortner, Dan Lewis, Chuck Look, Lee Lawrence, Mark Olson, J&D Photo, Zena Lodi and Trevor Frank. Additional photos were contributed by John Surges (VMSC), Greg Martell and Bob Bergeron. Racing fans and historians will find "Sixty Years of 141 Speedway" enlightening, fascinating and hard to put down.
