, released six years after the first volume, presents another round of instrumental covers from the unidentified Smooth Jazz All-Stars. The band knocks out another ten-song set of
Chaka
covers, and this time they tend to go with later material, such as "Love of a Lifetime," originally released on the 1986 solo album
Destiny
. Again, the material is competently and reverently played -- played straightforwardly with the saxophonist taking
's lead lines -- but it can't possibly compete with the original recordings. For whatever reason, "Through the Fire" appears here as it did on volume one. ~ Andy Kellman
