These Snappy Snippets provide practise in reading short texts, that contain the sounds learned in Series 1 of Sounds make Words make Stories. They are particularly good for readers who may be put off by high-frequency sight words, as they contain very few. This allows the reader to completely focus on sounding out. These Snappy Snippets should be used in conjunction with the self-reader books in Series 1, both at the entry and plus levels.
This series is also complemented with the read-aloud story books 'Pat and Pip on a Road Trip ', 'The King's New Fort ' and 'On the Trail of Sid the Snail '.
This program has had success with young readers, stubborn readers, readers with learning difficulties and readers with English as a second language. It has been proven to be an excellent educational tool within schools as well as for home learning.
