Sometimes being a witch in a famous family can be hard on a girl. Jerrie Spears, healer and necromancer, decides to take a trip to Ireland to exorcise a ghost and do some sightseeing. Suddenly, she gets inundated with magic, and at the same time her murdered twin sister's shade appears to her. An evil witch has killed Jerrie's entire family and tried to steal their magic. Now he is after Jerrie! He almost catches her until she trips and falls into the Atlantic Ocean, and is saved by the most unlikely creature. In her need to find sanctuary to learn to use all the magic she now carries, Jerrie experiences many adventures until she ends up in the supernatural haven of Avalon. But all is not what it seems there, and soon Jerrie and her friends get embroiled in a political battle with an evil High Priestess and her supernatural guardians. Who knew politics could be so deadly?
