On their third outing, Icelandic combo lean heavily on the American influence of their adopted home in Austin, Texas. Over two previous LPs, the band has built on their blend of soulful indie folk and anthemic rock, earning a significant international fan base and even a Grammy Award nomination. Arriving five years after 2016's gold-certified , pairs dark-hued atmospheric rock with energetic blues riffs and slinky grooves, creating an evocative backdrop for frontman 's husky baritone. While aren't breaking any new ground here, they more or less prove themselves adept at their chosen brand of bluesy modern rock, riding the dynamics with vigor and plenty of affected grit. ~ Timothy Monger
