Chinese contemporary composer Tan Dun turned more than a few heads with his revolutionary avant-garde work The Paper Concerto; it fuses traditional orchestral sounds with the organic sounds of various kinds of paper rustling, to suggest a rudimentary element at the core of everyone's lives. This particular production was performed in 2007 by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra; Dun conducts. Haruka Fujii, Rika Fujii and Tamao Inano play the paper elements.
