"John Lee Hancock directs Billy Bob Thornton, Dennis Quaid, and Jason Patric in this epic retelling of the 1836 siege of the Alamo from Disney. The film details the events surrounding the battle during the Texan War of Independence that left 186 Texas rebels dead and is presented on this DVD in widescreen with the original English soundtrack and a French dubbed track both in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. The disc also includes Spanish and French subtitles. Along with the film itself, there are a number a supplemental features as well. Three featurettes cover the history behind the story, the film's production, and the cast and crew's Texas roots, while a selection of deleted scenes offer a glimpse of what was left on the cutting-room floor. A full-screen version with the same features is also available."
