Director tapped Oscar-winning composer for his 2012 reboot of the Spider-Man franchise, and while 's take on the beloved Marvel web-slinger may lack the pulsating gravitas that drove 's work on the 2002, -directed version, it still manages to evoke many of the same feelings. Instead of focusing on the films' myriad action set pieces, spends the majority of the score building off of the films' more human elements.
