An uninspired painter discovers that great pain yields great art when a disgruntled ninja decides to teach him a hard lesson in following your dreams. Jack works in a movie theater with his girlfriend Sharon and buddy Nick. When he was younger, Jack was a promising artist. Like many starving artists, however, the once-promising painter ultimately decided to lay down his brush and seek out steady employment. This doesn't sit well with Marcus. Marcus is training to be a ninja. He detests Jack for allowing his apathy to overshadow his ambition, and he's determined to jar him out of the self-defeating cycle of self-pity. His method of doing so: extreme violence. Once Jack starts fighting for his life, maybe he'll realize that his art is worth fighting for, too.
