Drake finds himself helping to pick up the pieces from the cataclysmic battle between Mike and his two brothers. But, he knows in his heart that time is running out for his family in the hills and he is desperate to get there in time. Drake has to first help rebuild and aid in the struggle to rescue the children and old people. All the while, the two legged monsters of the Big D continue to try and overrun the last civilized bastion in the city. Just when Drake thinks things couldn't get any worse, a new evil enters the city under the cloak of the reformed United States of America. Who is this Lieutenant Martinez? Is he who he says he is, or is he another enemy that just wants to take down settlements and subjugate their people? Drake must help his friends and family survive, or they will perish in the ruins of the Big D.
