BRIDGE BETWEEN INNOCENCE AND SHAME An American soldier on R&R, in Japan, during the Korean War, spends five days with a Japanese woman he meets there. Each bringing to this strange relationship, their innocence, that has its founding inter-mixed with shame. As the couple get acquainted, they fall in love, and begin to reveal their secrets; hers, that she is the daughter of a Japanese officer whose was supplier of "Comfort Women" used by Japanese soldiers as "Sex Slaves", and the effects it has been on her life. His, is his shame for seducing a young Korean man he thought was a woman, and his ineptitude with his wife on the night before leaving for the war.
