Miles King is the owner of the wildly successful restaurant, King's Steakhouse. Five years ago, he borrowed the start-up money from a Chicago Loan Shark, Mr. Sharpe. After years of struggle, he has an opportunity to go nationwide. The world is his oyster! He just needs to capitalize on his success. He's tired of paying so much of his blood sweat and tears in monthly interest. Mr. Sharpe has made his money back and more. Plenty more! It's time to do something about it.
Miles grew up on the streets of Indianapolis. He loved cooking, and he was smooth with his tongue. That's how he got his street name, The Cast Iron Kid. Nothing sticks to him. Always one step ahead and hustlin' to make his money. He knows what to do.
Miles keeps Mr. Sharpe in the dark. He stops paying so much of his hard-earned cash to that Chicago Loan Shark. "He'll never know," Miles tells himself. "I'll just tell Mr. Sharpe times have gotten tough. Good help costs more these days. Customers haven't been coming in like they were. The cost of food has shot through the roof. The city politicians threatened to pull my liquor license. I always smooth-talk my way out of trouble."
Mr. Sharpe isn't happy with the decrease in cash flow. It's time for a conversation with Miles King. He sends Luther, his number one collections agent, to pick up Miles and bring him back to Chicago for a little chat.
Take him on a ride...
