Mark-Anthony Abel is a father and like all fathers, wanted nothing more than to find books that were suitable and exciting for his young children. What could be better than teaching children the importance of kindness and consideration through storytelling? He was lucky that whilst visiting a local church his family had joined he observed the children dressing up as pirates. It was here he had his eureka moment: Could there have been a Christian pirate? What might he have looked like and how would he have behaved? Chris was born and Mark-Anthony's children had a new hero one that was not your typical cape wearing kind.
