The Claiming of the Children is the first part to The Veil of Death series. When Eurynome witnesses a party on Earth she is suspicious, the only guests are Zeus's children and these also include her own three daughters, The Three Graces. They try to stop the party and seek out the Hostess but all attempts are futile against the cosmic energy-field protecting it. The Hostess finally reveals her identity when the children are trapped on Earth. Have Zeus and Eurynome lost their children to Mother Earth? Are the children now bound to her rules rather than those of the Universe?
