Army privates Windy Bragg and Whitey Hicks don't intentionally try to create mayhem at the
various posts they are assigned to, but they just can't help it. Whether it's another scheme to
avoid work or meet a gorgeous woman, they inevitably and hilariously end up finding themselves
up to their necks in trouble with Sgt. Gruff, Colonel Stone and the rest of the army brass. Not even
putting them on KP duty or in the brig keeps the Army safe from Windy and Whitey's special kind
of havoc. Simply put, they are THE YARDBIRDS.
THE YARDBIRDS was a humorous back up feature in over twenty issues of Ziff-Davis's G.I. JOE series
as well as having their own one shot comic. The art was beautifully crafted by the great Dan DeCarlo
with the occasional assistance of inker Rudy Lapick. Included in this collection are all of the
YARDBIRD stories from G.I. Joe comics and THE YARDBIRDS one-shot.
