In a galaxy owned by narcissistic warmongers known as the p'tahians, the residents of Terra are ignorant of the alien pirates smuggling weapons onto their planet. As a representative of the Dragon Corps, the universal law enforcement agency, Lyon is on a mission behind enemy lines for a different reason: Terra is believed to only exist in myth. When Lyon discovers pirates transporting illegal weapons onto an undeveloped planet in restricted space, he calls for backup. Lyon's new team of non-volunteers hopes to shut down the operation before the criminals draw the p'tahian's wrath, which would bring about the extinction of all life on Terra. The resulting investigation unravels connections between the yakuza, a psychic grandmother, the mob, local police, the military, rouge aliens, federal agents, mythology, secret charters and one terran who should be dead. This dysfunctional band of reluctant protectors soon find themselves between saving the planet and starting an intergalactic war.
