Directed by Roger Michell, this British comedy stars Jim Broadbent as the 60-year old disgruntled London taxi driver named Kempton Bunton who, in 1961, steals a Goya painting at the National Gallery. The artwork is of the Duke of Wellington, and his unsuspecting wife Dorothy (Helen Mirren) accidentally discovers the painting hidden in their house. But as he is apprehended for the theft, a national uproar takes place as barrister Jeremy Hutchinson (Matthew Goode) tries to prove his innocence and justify the deed as a heroic Robin Hood move. Based on true events.
