Of the seven papers from an August 2001 panel discussion in Basel, four are in English, two in German, and one in French. One considers large scale differences between the two versions of the Hebrew Bible generally in light of evidence from the Qumran scrolls. Each of the others focuses on a particular book where the relationship seems to be in most need of a new explanation. Among them are Judges, Ezra, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel. The Society of Biblical Literature publishes the book and distributes the paperbound edition; Brill Academic Publishers distributes the clothbound edition (ISBN 90 04 13049 7).
