The second volume of
Current Concepts in Orthopaedic Surgery
analyzes the various aspects of traumatic lesions of the
elbow, including diseases of the soft tissues and the rare
lesions of the musculocutaneous nerve. The focus of
attention, however, is on fractures, and the short and long
term results of treatment. Some aspects of traumatic lesions
of the elbow demand particular consideration because of the
long term residual effects, the complexity of treatment, and
the interest that recent therapeutical progress has
stimulated. Each chapter gives an honest account of the
authors' personal experience and contains a critical
evaluation of the results.
