I was inspired to write this book due to the injustices, inequalities and inequities in the great nation of America. History has proven that it is a fact that these injustices do exist. In the years 2017-2022, it has been prevalent throughout the nation and still exists to this day. Racism and hatred are at an all-time high and the country has been divided by toxic rhetoric and politics. It seems like "We the People" can't agree on anything. Also, the overwhelming grief I felt over the loss of my two children. As a Christian, I can't understand those that claim to be Christians participating in the hatred. Those that claim to be "Christ-like" but are hating those that disagree with their political beliefs. It caused me to ask the question "What's going on?" I named the book "The Fallen Petals" because people are dying every day because of hate. Linda Lawson was born in Blairs, Virginia in 1953 on a tobacco farm. Her family moved from Virginia to New Jersey in 1958 in the dead of winter with no place to go. Linda's father sought work in Pedericktown on a farm. Her family then moved to Mullica Hill, and Linda lived there until she graduated high school in 1972 and married that same year. To that union, six children were born but Linda is the mother of eight. The Bible says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers them out of them all." Linda was inspired to write this book because of the awful things that were happening in our great nation starting in 2017. Linda's website is www.hearttopaper.com
