Excerpt from The Gateway, 1943, Vol. 9: The Year Book of the Toronto Bible College
It {is quite apparent that mottos are popular at the college. Stu dents possi'bly memorize them in their homes. Many of the boys and girls come from homes where father and mother honour the Word, and declare their faith with well selected mottos which they place conveniently about the house.
Students of by-gone years have adopted mottos. They have carried their chosen Bible phrases to the ends of the earth. They have hung them on mud walls in Africa, taken them to far western China, and decorated headquarters in South America. You will find them in India, and in the farthest north. Wherever the students have gone forth, their mottos have gone with them.
T.b.c. Students of this year have followed suit. In two short mottos, they declare their guiding prin ciples in life.
