This edition of the 2nd part of "The Girl from California" is now updated with one more story written six months ago, and a few jokes. This volume was originally published under the name Zoia Sproesser (last name by marriage) nine years ago. Chronologically this volume (2) refers to the years of divorce 2005-2007. These are humorous stories about different characters the author met in California.
The book belongs to the diary series of Zoia Eliseyeva titled "Девушка из штата Калифорния" - The Girl from California. First this title had been published in 1996 in St. Petersburg, Russia, by the magazine "Nataly" in separate chapters. Then in 2004, 1,000 copies of the book were published with the Russian front cover in Moscow, Russia, in the publishing house "Golos" by publisher P. F. Alyoshkin. The Moscow edition had author's name as Zoia Burkhart (by her first marriage).
This book is being updated with the hope to minimize the confusion that is now, in summer of 2020, created by the publishers after the removal of CreateSpace self-publishing platform in 2018, and also in order to update the author's last name for the current (maiden), that was changed six years ago.
The main title of this Russian diary series of stories and jokes is "The Girl from California" and it has 3 parts (volumes). The part 4 is in the making and has never been published yet.
Zoia has been teaching languages in USA, Europe, and Mexico, and since 2010 has published a number of multilanguage books based on classics of the world as well.
