Synopsis:
Briella uses Scout's pencils to sketch some props for their surprise Halloween party for the Gatherers. Her magic is still on the fritz and she is relying on Scout's magic to bring her sketches off the page to 3D status. When Scout uses her magic on a picture of a scary house, the fairies are thrilled with the result.
While exploring the interior of the building, Scout realises just how talented Briella is. Hidden amongst the layers are creatures drawn in intricate detail designed to scare the pants off those who come across them.
An unforeseen incident causes the release of Briella's magic, creating mayhem and terror.
About the books:
The House of Horrors is the second of six books in the Halloween Madness Series written by Marnie Atwell. It is a spin-off of her Starlight Investigations series and gives her fans a more personal relationship with the main characters of those books.
Readers do not need to have read the Starlight Investigation series to enjoy the Halloween Madness stories. However, they do contain spoilers for the first two books in the Starlight Investigation series, Jealousy Monsters, and Vampire.
Due to multiple requests from young people for shorter books, each story in the Halloween Madness series is a shorter read, ranging between 19,000 and 22,000 words. This author is Australian and uses Australian Engish to tell her stories.
