When Lovington and her mom Elaine move to Berrywood, PA during the summer of 2015, they're hoping for another fresh start. Berrywood was different. Berrywood was where Lovington finally had her own room and closet, where she felt safe-until the ghosts started appearing. Now with the start of her senior year approaching Lovington wanted to leave Berrywood, that is until she met Jane. Jane understood Lovington. Jane made Lovington feel like she didn't have to explain herself and when they became best friends all of the paranormal things Lovington experienced had suddenly stopped. However, one night when Jane gets involved in an accident that Lovington later on discovers may have not been an accident, Lovington's left to figure out what happened to her best friend Jane while getting herself caught up in the dark and heinous secrets of Berrywood.
