When Jacob's father gets a new job out of the city, the young boy suddenly finds himself in a tiny town in the middle of the woods. However just as the boredom begins to set in, he finds something unexpected in the woods.
Living in the forest is an impossible monster, something Jacob has never seen before. Just as he believes he's about to be eaten, he makes a discovery. The monster is not only friendly, but more than willing to spend time with him.
But as the peaceful summer days pass by, outside forces threaten the monster's secret. Jacob has to keep his new friend hidden and more importantly, alive.
