The most famous "kingdom" in the Philippines today is a make-believe kingdom called the "Enchanted Kingdom," a theme park in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. The most exciting swing ride, drop tower, and roller coaster are there. Everything is clean. Everybody is smiling. Everyone is enjoying the fun. However, there are two problems in the Enchanted Kingdom. Most people could not afford to get in. The ticket price is quite expensive. More, there is no King in the Enchanted Kingdom. Yet there is another kingdom. Unlike the Enchanted Kingdom, this kingdom is not a make-believe kingdom. It is a real kingdom. It is not a kingdom you can see, but a kingdom you cannot see. Unlike the Enchanted Kingdom, which will be gone in time, this kingdom will last for all eternity. This kingdom is where Christ is King and Jesus is Lord. In the Bible, it is called the kingdom of God. This book is Part 1 of my tetralogy (four-part book series) on the kingdom of God. Using an expository method, I expound the nature of the kingdom from the parables of Jesus in Matthew 13 (Vol. I). I explain the blessings of the kingdom in Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5 (Vol. II). I explore the lifestyle of the kingdom in Matthew 5-7 (Vol. III). I then elucidate the exhortations of the kingdom in Matthew 7 (Vol. IV). Walk with me as we embark on a life-changing journey of knowing the kingdom of God. "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matt. 6:33).
