Chelsea leapt to her feet, knocking over her chair. "Could this really work? Could it?" "Could what work? What are you talking about?" Annie asked as she stood and put her hand on Chelsea to calm her. Chelsea ignored her and began to spin around on her feet. She grasped her head in her hands and kept whispering to herself, "Yes, it might work, it might!" "Chelsea calm down. What are you talking about? Are you OK?" Stephen asked, rising to his feet as well. Mark rose to his feet but said nothing. He, Stephen and Annie looked at each other, confused. Chelsea stopped spinning and began bouncing on her toes, "Yes, yes it might. A long voyage, no airplanes, but if it worked-" "Chelsea, stop it! What's the matter with you?" Stephen yelled as he grasped her shoulders. Chelsea stopped and looked up at Stephen. She laughed as tears began flowing from her eyes, "Don't you get it?" she said, choking out the words. "Get what?" Chelsea pushed away from Stephen, stepped back, looked at them all, then focused on Annie, "The mirror! The 1940 Upsilon mirror. Right now it is also passing though 1910. We can go to 1910 and talk to your dad!" ================ A rogue temporal researcher decides to use the mirrors to go back to 1940 and stop the Nazis from killing millions of people. But little does he know that his plans have backfired. Instead of stopping the Nazis, he lays the groundwork for their world domination. Now 16 year-old Annie, the Kensingtons, and all of the temporal teams have escaped back to the Alpha Station in the year 1001. A crack team of researchers and enforcers is assembled to try and repair the time line but the team, including Annie's beloved father, is captured and imprisoned. Now only Annie and the Kensingtons have the experience, knowledge and bravery to execute a daring transatlantic voyage and cross-mirror contact to find her father thirty years earlier, stop the rogue researcher, and prevent the Nazis from taking over the world. The Parallax Protocol is the second book in the "Mirrors in Time Adventures." It is an exciting sci-fi mystery-detective adventure for children and teens (adults will enjoy it too!) that is wholesome and fun. It is filled with action, adventure, humor, family and just a bit of age appropriate romance. And be careful... you might actually learn something from the real history that is richly woven throughout the series in text and now pictures. Visit the J.C.
