Set in the Appalachian Mountain area outside Asheville, North Carolina, a young girl struggles within herself against forces conspiring to keep her from returning to the life she knows in Raleigh. Happiness has eluded her for most of her life and after being thrown into a small town situation with strangers and a lack of big city luxuries, she knows she has to get out of there as soon as possible. But, life surprises her and she finds emotions lost along the way, people that are actually decent and kind, and a mystery to solve that will forever change her life.
