Karinza has lived her entire life in the sparsely populated wasteland of the Outer Borders, where every day brings a new danger, and tomorrow is never guaranteed. Despite that, she has never wanted things to change. But life, and the shadowy government of Dassage that controls it, have other plans for her. When she's plucked from obscurity and forced into a new and unfamiliar world, she must find a way to navigate it.
