Now I feel like this book is long overdue. But I really needed to get a clearer picture of what my life was like in these years and where I was specifically in life. If you're like me and the 20s decade is coming to an end, then possibly you can relate. Maybe you had the same if not similar experiences at these ages just as I did. Or maybe you're right at the beginning of your 20s and have yet to understand or experience what you may encounter around these times. And when I say they fly by, they literally do. Just yesterday, I feel like I was 21, buying my first drink and hitting the clubs on a Saturday; legally this time at least. Everything moved so fast. I couldn't believe it. Now here I am, 3 months shy of leaving what I've regretted, learned, discovered, taught, cried, laughed, forgave, healed, let go of and moved on from. You're 20s is a great decade. Don't get my wrong. Yes, our parents were right. These are the times we will never get back so enjoy them while they last. But as I wrap things up, I can't bare to not ask these questions to myself ... Why didn't they tell me that these would be the years you will find things out about yourself that you never knew existed? Or hell, maybe you were like me and knew they existed but choose not to change anything until your back was up against the wall. Why didn't I listen when my parents talked my damn ears off about saving? Why didn't I pick a better field to study in college? Did I even need to go to college to begin with? These high school friendships...will some of them grow or will they fall to the waist side? "I want to have kids by 25 and to be married."... Why is my tolerance so bad?! I can't hold liquor down like I use to. Damn, partying at an early age makes you not want to party anymore. Anyone in bed by 7pm?!?! These are the growing pain years. The alternation. The change and drastic shift years. I'm not saying this to make you scared if you're riding the coat tails of your 20s and are excited to see what's to happen. But I am saying this to let you know, that there were eye opening, life changing and surprising events that occur during these 10 years that begin to mold you into the person you will become. So let's start shall we?!?!
