Excerpt from The St. Andrew's College Review: Midsummer, 1905
There has not been much to sadden us in the last half-dozen years, but these reminiscences would be incomplete were the loss of two of our boys to pass unnoticed. Although neither of them died at the College they were both connected with it in a peculiar way. I refer to Joe Mickleborough, of St. Thomas, one of the very first boys to enrol, and Errol ross-ross, of Montreal. These two were prim-e favorites among their fellows at College, and we mourn their loss. A more recent bereave ment in the death of the late Principal Caven, of Knox College, one of the directors of the College from the first and a man whose heart was very warm towards us, we regret also to have to record.
